- Dynamic Alignment ** will enable students to experience their yoga practice in a dynamic flow, yet with an attention to alignment. Yes, your body will be moving and yes, you might even sweat a little. Angie will finish the class with a long savasana. This class is rooted in the (Hatha) Iyengar Yoga style and designed to bring balance to the body and mind through movement and breath. **This is not a class for beginners. Students should have at least 6 months of consistent yoga practice under their belt and be free from injuries.
Yin yoga is slow, deep stretch style of yoga. Poses will be held for longer periods of time with the assistance of props in order to apply moderate stress to connective tissue to improve circulation and flexibility. Yin yoga is a complement to an active lifestyle to aid in recovery and increased performance.
Private Instruction Private lessons are a great way to learn yoga. In fact, yoga was originally meant to be studied one on one with a teacher or Guru. Because of the intense certification requirements Iyengar teachers are able to work effectively with people of all levels and abilities. Iyengar Yoga is therapeutic in nature so even those with chronic conditions and/or injuries can be assured that an Iyengar teacher knows how to modify and sequence for each individuals’ needs.
